The Black and White Collection
ENGLISH:
The project is about designing following the basic patterns of The criterion collection brand, the collection of three black-and-white films by filmmaker Stanley Kubrick.
Both the DVD cover of the three films and the collection box had to be designed.
It is decided that the face part of the DVD cover will show an image of the film of an important moment, but it doesn’t reveal enough information to make any spoilers but if you know the film, it’s easy to remember what scene is concerned.
The typography is a sans-serif font, in the three films with the same body.
Three subtle variations are made on the back of the DVD case playing with the brand logo.
The part of the last part is the synopsis and an image that has a shady of red.
SPANISH:
Proyecto para diseñar una edición especial de películas de Stanly Kubrick con la empresa The criterion collection. Se diseño las carátulas de las tres películas escogidas mas el packaging de la colección.
La pieza gráfica se desarrolla bajo el concepto de conservar las imágenes en blanco y negro, dejando como portada de las carátulas imágenes extraidas de las películas y destacando en cada una un objeto en rojo. También se combinan las diferentes posibilidades de blanco y negro en el lomo y el logo The criterion colection.
